Frequently Asked Questions

St. James Nesconset Youth Football & Cheer FAQ

Who runs the SJNYF?

The SJNYF is run by a volunteer Board of Directors.  The Board Members and email addresses are listed on this website.

How to register?

First, an account must be created.  Go to the upper right hand corner of the page and Click “Register”.  You will create a Username and Password, which will allow you to log in again in the future.

Once that is set up you will be able to add “Participants”.  It will ask for your child’s name, age, gender and will have address and phone already filled in from previous entry.

At this point, if you return to “My Account” you will see your participants and what programs they are eligible for based on birthdate.  Follow the guided process and select a form of payment.

The process is complete and you will receive an email confirming at the end.

What does my registration fee include?

For Cheer your registration includes a uniform and poms.

For Football your registration includes helmet, shoulder pads, game jerseys(yours to keep) and game pants.

When does the season start and end?

Game jersey and pants will be handed out during the month of August as we near the beginning of the season.

What other equipment do I need?

Other equipment that will be needed is football cleats, padded protective top (Power Rib shirt) and padded protective pants (Girdle).

What are the coaches’ qualifications and training?

All coaches are/will be USA Football Heads Up certified, AED/CPR certified (SJN will certify), will undergo a PAL background check and meet all qualifications required by PAL.  SJN will have MANDATORY Coaching Clinics that coaches will attend before practices begin.
